A performance, media, and sound design project and work opportunity for Boston-area public high school students.
KAIROS Dance Theater in collaboration with URBANO Project, Medicine Wheel Productions and The Institute of Contemporary Art.

DeAnna Pellecchia and Ingrid Schatz with digital media artist Alison Kotin, and youth activist Malcolm Hall, seek teen artists and performers to produce a collaborative performance and digital media piece about trusting your gut and speaking up in social situations where the norm is to keep quiet. Teen artists will collaboratively produce original choreography and text, and contribute to the development of a multi-media performance environment including set design and composition of an original sound score. This work will be performed for the public at the Massachusetts State House, The Institute of Contemporary Art, and at Urbano’s Studio Gallery.  Students interested in dance, choreography, set design, visual art, physical theater, interactive digital media, and sound/music composition are encouraged to apply.

Classes take place Tuesdays and Thursdays, 4:00 – 6:30pm
January 24, 2012 – May 17, 2012
In Urbano’s studio and gallery
