Posted: November 14, 2011 in Event Update

The Boston Center for the Arts hosts critically acclaimed contemporary repertory dance company, The PGK Project. The PGK Project will take over the Mills Gallery for a site-specific performance on Friday, November 18, 2011 at 7:30pm. Artistic Director Peter G. Kalivas has invited six dancers from the Boston Dance Community including DeAnna Pellecchia, Mary McCarthy, Meghan McLyman and Yuka Takahashi to join his company for the performance.  Over the course of four days, the dancers have worked with Kalivas to create a new performance piece, as well as learn two pieces of choreography from the company’s repertory.  Based in San Diego with operations in New York City, The PGK Project is an innovative company that produces accessible, entertaining performances.

Movement at the Mills is an exhibition of dance by local and national choreographers and companies. Performance occurs on three stages throughout the evening. Audience members are invited to walk through the gallery and observe dance as artwork. This free-form program is an exciting, non-traditional way to experience dance.
