Paula’s BLOG: horse dancing

Posted: September 4, 2011 in Uncategorized

Seems impossible, but I have been dancing with Paula Josa-Jones for eleven years now! I was lucky enough to join her company as a fledgling dancer (an eaglet as Ing and I like to say). As a youngin’ I got to make dances with her which I consider to be some of the best work of my career — not just because it was challenging and well-crafted, but because it always fed my soul – and continues to, a decade later.

Paula is a pioneer in the field of dance –  a visionary artist. Having her as my mentor and teacher is such a privilege.  Counting her as a close friend — an incredible gift. She is insightful, thoughtful, generous, always present, always listening. She also has a great sense of humor and is quick to laugh, especially at herself .

Paula recently started a blog called ‘horse dancing”, which yes, of course, is about dancing with horses. But it’s also a commentary on cultivating presence, in your own body, in the world, as often as you can — illustrated in a way authentically Paula. Please visit when you have a chance!
